The Thunder of TraceNine. Providing drums and a booming, hard hitting rhythm as the backbone of the band. Starting out his music career as a bassist, then learning guitar and other instruments, enables him to think outside of the box when writing and playing drum parts. His father, Kemp Weir was a drummer in a touring Pipes and Drums band, so he’s been surrounded by music his whole life. Honing his signature sound was due part by listening to his drum idols, past and present. From the likes of John Bonham, Morgan Rose, Will Calhoun, Jeff Porcaro, Dirk VerBeuren, and Matt Cameron, he’s learned not only to master his instrument, but also to find his place in each and every song. Outside of TraceNine he stays busy and keeps his chops up by drumming and playing bass for different musical acts. A proud husband and father, his passion for music is as big as his passion for family, which he also considers TraceNine a part of.
